Social Activities, Outings and Events
The Social Organising Group consists of volunteers who organise social events. We try to vary these to suit all tastes. Some of the most popular events such as the Social Evenings, Barbecue, and Beetle Drives have become annual events and we intend to continue the tradition.
Social events are open to all Maldon & District u3a members and tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis. They are advertised one or two months in advance in the monthly newsletter with details of how to buy tickets.
You do not have to come with a partner: as at most events, you will be with other u3a members, who we know are a friendly lot. If you are on your own, just tell one of the Committee members when you arrive and you will be introduced to kindred spirits. We look forward to meeting as many of you as possible to at least one event in the coming year.
Please give your full support, these events are for fun and are not to raise funds. If you have any suggestions for other events, please tell any member of the Social organising group.

Outings are organised by various groups in connection with their activities, and these are usually open to the general membership if there is room on the coach. See the monthly newsletter for details.
Trips can also be organised by individual members for the benefit of the whole. If you wish to visit a certain place of interest or exhibition just inform the Committee and we will help you
