The Gibberd Garden is an inspirational and fascinating Grade II listed garden. Created between 1957 and 1984 by Sir Frederick Gibberd, Master Planner of Harlow New Town and leading post-war architect, it is acknowledged to be one of the most important 20th century gardens in the country.

The Combined Military Services Museum - One man’s obsession

Curator and historian Julie will be giving a talk on the background to the creation of the Combined Military Services Museum in Maldon, and having a look at some of the special pieces from the collection. A journey through 1000 years of history through objects ranging from a Viking Sword, to Jacobean Armour and the gadgets of Cold War Spies.
