Italian Night at the Town Hall
We had a real treat on Saturday 29th September when we went Italian - Pizza, Pasta and Ice Cream. I did spot a few members of the Mafia present but they were on best behaviour and not a violin case in sight.

"Mess with me?" or is it "Like some Pepper?"
After a convivial meal we sat back and were entertained by a very talented musical couple Simon Mayor and Hilary James.

Simon is an expert on the mandolin - though he also plays fiddle and guitar, and Hilary was equally versatile on guitar, bass mandolin - did you know there was such an instrument?
Hilary could also melt your heart with her “wonderfully
honey-dripping voice”.
Their range was wide from folk, to jazz, blues, classical and just plain silly. We enjoyed it all and really didn’t want to let them go – so they indulged us with The Parrot Song and sent us home smiling.
Thank you Social Committee for another lovely evening. You do us proud.
